Quarantine and Isolation Policy
Students who test positive for COVID-19 will immediately move into isolation in designated areas or, if they choose, return home.
Arrangements will be made for students who are not able to attend class because of a brief illness or isolation, as has always been our policy.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19
Regardless of your vaccination/booster status
- You will be required to remain in isolation for five days, beginning on the date that your first symptoms appeared or when your test was administered, whichever is earliest.
After five days, you may leave isolation if you have remained asymptomatic or your symptoms have resolved. - You will be required to wear a mask indoors at all times while on campus for an additional five (5) days after your release from isolation, even in situations where you wouldn’t normally be required to wear masks, such as within your household or while competing and performing. NCAA swimmers and divers are excepted from this requirement while actively training and competing.
If you are identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
Regardless of your vaccination/booster status
- You will be required to obtain a COVID-19 test five (5) days after the date of your exposure to the positive person.
- You will not be required to quarantine. You must, however, wear a mask indoors at all times while on campus for an additional ten (10) days, even in situations where you wouldn’t normally be required to wear masks, such as within your household or while competing and performing. NCAA swimmers and divers are excepted from this requirement while actively training and competing
