Beloit College Ice Hockey teams to play at Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center
Beloit College is thrilled to announce it has signed an agreement for its new men’s and women’s ice hockey teams to play at the Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Janesville, Wisconsin. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for Beloit College athletics.
The agreement, which has Beloit College hockey teams practicing and competing at the Janesville location, was celebrated by both parties, who expressed their enthusiasm for the collaboration. Beloit College Athletic Director Dave DeGeorge stated, “We are thrilled to call the Woodman’s Center home. For our hockey teams to practice and play at a first class facility is a great opportunity. We are very excited to bring college hockey to the stateline area.”
The new ice hockey teams, which are part of Beloit College’s commitment to expanding its athletic programs, have generated considerable excitement within the community. “We’re super excited to be at the Woodman’s Center,” said Beloit College Men’s Ice Hockey Head Coach Shane Buckley. “The brand new rink will be state-of-the-art, and a great home for the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. We look forward to packing the stands for the blue and gold.”
The Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center is equally enthusiastic about welcoming Beloit College’s teams. “We’re proud to welcome Beloit College Men’s and Women’s Hockey to the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center,” Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center General Manager Tony Thiry stated. “This partnership reflects our mission to support athletes at every level—from Learn to Skate to college competition—all under one roof. We’re excited to be part of Beloit College’s hockey journey and can’t wait to see the energy and talent they bring to the ice.”
Beloit College has been making waves in the world of college athletics, recently unveiling a new logo for its beloved Buccaneer mascot and winning three consecutive conference championships in baseball. The addition of the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams is part of a broader initiative to enhance the college’s athletic offerings and engage students in new and exciting ways.
