1940-1949

  • Lois Skutley Anderson ’47, retired customer service representative, talented artist; Sept. 10, 2024, in Lees Summit, Missouri. She was predeceased by her husband, Boyd Anderson, and is survived by a daughter.
  • Sidney Schoengold ’47, former owner of S&H Fur Buyers; May 5, 2024, in Surprise, Arizona. He was predeceased by his wife, Harriet Schoengold, and a son. He is survived by a daughter.
  • George F. Kleitz ’49, U.S. Army veteran, retired advertising manager; Sept. 13, 2025, in Warrenville, Illinois. He was predeceased by two sons, and is survived by his partner, Jacqueline Deutsch, and a daughter.
  • Mary Jane Marty Stark ’49, active volunteer and community member; Aug. 26, 2025, in Madison, Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her husband, Phil Stark, and is survived by three sons.

  • Clay H. Skinner ’50, U.S. Army veteran, retired engineer; June 7, 2025, in Princeton, Illinois. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Haskell Skinner (1923), and sister, Virginia “Olga” Skinner ’49. He is survived by numerous family members.
  • Charles G. Eller ’52, retired dentist, avid gardener; June 15, 2025, in La Mesa, California. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Eller, and is survived by two daughters.
  • Beverly Jahr Murphy ’53, community volunteer; July 6, 2025, in Sycamore, Illinois. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Murphy, and a daughter. Survivors include a son and two daughters.
  • Mary Langley Ottensmeyer ’54, retired teacher, community volunteer; July 31, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. She was predeceased by her husband, David Ottensmeyer, and is survived by two daughters.
  • Helen Gieser Evans ’55, retired German instructor; May 31, 2025, in Appleton, Wisconsin. She is survived by a son.
  • Judith Kubly Alexander ’56, community volunteer, avid golfer; July 1, 2025, in State College, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband, Shelton Alexander, and is survived by two daughters.
  • Janet Layman Calkins ’56, retired office manager; July 18, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was predeceased by her husband, Chuck Calkins, and is survived by a son and three daughters.
  • Dan F. Morse ’56, U.S. Army veteran, retired professor of archaeology; Sept. 26, 2024, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis Morse, and three sons. Elizabeth Gross Faust ’57, retired director of nursing; Aug. 31, 2025, in Florence, Montana. She was predeceased by her husband, William Faust, and is survived by a son and three daughters.
  • David M. Johnson ’57, retired elementary school principal; June 25, 2025, in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. He was predeceased by his father, Marcus W. Johnson ’28, mother, Naomi Dahlstrom Johnson ’29, uncle, Harold Dahlstrom ’34, and sister-in-law, Jeanne Saunders Clark ’52. Survivors include his wife, Mary Saunders Johnson ’58, sister-in-law, Barbara Saunders ’60, cousin, Eric Dahlstrom ’72, cousin, Jodie Bultman ’95, cousin, Nathan Bultman ’97, a daughter, and two sons.
  • Marjean Whitson Lenert ’57, Aug. 3, 2025, in Springfield, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Lener, and is survived by a daughter and three sons.
  • Shirley A. Swanson ’57, retired financial secretary; May 4, 2025, in Beloit, Wisconsin. She is survived by numerous family members.
  • Dr. Lynn W. Boynton ’58, retired orthopedic surgeon and clinical professor; July 25, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jacquie Boynton, two daughters, and two sons.
  • Paul I. Peterson ’58, retired systems manager with Beloit College; June 29, 2025, in Davis, Illinois. He was predeceased by a son, and is survived by his wife of 68 years, Carol Peterson, a son, and a daughter.
  • David J. Hennicke ’59, former owner of Glen Ellyn Storage Corp; July 23, 2025, in Wheaton, Illinois. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan Hennicke.

  • Donald F. Bean ’61, U.S. Air Force veteran, retired physician; July 17, 2025, in San Diego, California. He was predeceased by his father, Orin T. Bean (1918), aunt, Frances McBayne (1919), and uncle, Harold F. Bean (1926). He is survived by his partner of 46 years, Larry Word.
  • Elisabeth Burgwin Landis ’62, Jan. 27, 2025, in San Diego, California. She is survived by a son.
  • Janice Chester Cutshall ’63, May 26, 2025, in Windsor, Colorado. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Cutshall, and daughter, Allyson Cutshall Gruener ’91. She is survived by a daughter.
  • Gary L. Bergman ’67, Sept. 8, 2025, in Clinton, Mississippi. He was predeceased by his wife, Glenna Bergman, and is survived by two sons and three daughters.
  • Abigail Fogarty ’68, retired marketing manager, avid skier; June 12, 2025, in Frankfort, Michigan. She is survived by her partner, Jim Clapp. James D. Haedike ’68, retired social security administrator; June 12, 2025, in Berwyn, Illinois. He is survived by his partner, Cynthia Colvin.

  • Diane Ruckert Allen ’70, avid traveler, accomplished seamstress; Aug. 18, 2025, in Earlysville, Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Allen, and numerous family members.
  • Virginia “Kim” Lipczynski ’74, former vice president of pharmaceutical marketing; Aug. 4, 2025, in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Michael Lipczynski, and two sons.

1990-1999

  • Wells H. Thiede ’92, former supervisor with Securian Financial Group, job coach with Lifeworks; April 23, 2025, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Thiede, a daughter, and two sons.
