Leeann Ream earned her BFA in Studio Arts with a specialization in Drawing from Bowling Green State University and her MA in Museum and Exhibition Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago. She has worked at the Bowling Green State University Fine Art Galleries, the Toledo Museum of Art, the Chicago History Museum, and Chicago EXPO and has completed a research fellowship for Independent Curators International.
Leeann works at the intersection of art, labor, and museums. Her research most often focuses on museum workers’ rights; issues of land, labor, mass media, and intersectional class identities as presented in museums; and radical co-curation with museum communities. Her writing has been presented at conferences such as The Newberry, The Inclusive Museum, and the Working-Class Studies Association as well as published in Fwd: Museums and Collections: A Journal for Museum and Archives Professionals.
