Welcome to fall! This afternoon marks 2025’s autumnal equinox, a time of transition and gratitude around the world. What does fall mean for Beloiters?
- Don’t procrastinate when it comes to outdoor activities you love! There’s still time to kayak or canoe at the Buccaneer Boathouse, play ultimate frisbee, and bike along Riverside Park. Or, use shorter days and cooler temps as the reasons to get into the Powerhouse for a new fitness class or intramural sports.
- Fall back in time by checking out the old and new on display at the Beloit College archives.
- Join local community celebrations. From baking to hiking, the City of Beloit is full of fun fall activities.
Thank you to everyone who participated in Beloiter Days last weekend, a tradition combining many eras of Beloiters. We hope you enjoyed your time in this boisterous mix of alumni, families, and friends who descended on campus!

Nominations for Beloit & Beyond Conference
Faculty and staff: nominate students for the annual Beloit and Beyond Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Nominations are due today: Monday, September 22, 2024. Student registration and abstract submission are due Sept. 30.

Kick-starting careers in Beloit area schools
Beloit College is proud to place 10 student teachers into classrooms across the Beloit community, continuing the College’s long-standing partnership with local school districts. These placements provide future educators with invaluable, hands-on experience while also strengthening ties between Beloit College and the local community.
