Description / Biography
I teach media studies, film, and audio/video production. I joined the Beloit College faculty in 2017.
As a filmmaker, my work has screened at festivals in Europe, Asia, and South America, and in the Cinéfondation selection at Cannes. I am an award-winning short film screenwriter and have programmed narrative shorts for Slamdance Film Festival. I have also worked as a podcaster and as a story development consultant for film and television. My writing has appeared in Matador Network, The Teaching Professor, and Zeal: A Journal for the Liberal Arts.
My courses, which focus on literature, theory, media production, film, and creative writing, offer students opportunities to create, collaborate, and communicate, all while stretching their intellectual muscles in novel, creative ways.
