Erika Weiss Moczulewski’09 YAA
Awarded in 2019
According to those who know her, Erika is a bright light—full of passion, empathy, and positivity. She finds the good in every person. Erika dedicated her career to helping others with a decade of experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations. She has risen to every challenge and takes others along with her.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in sociology, with a concentration in social and business entrepreneurship from Beloit and her master’s degree in public administration (MPA) with a concentration in nonprofit management from Roosevelt University, Erika went into development work for nonprofits. Currently she is a senior associate consultant at Giving Tree Associates, while teaching part-time at Roosevelt University in the master’s program she completed.
Erika is passionate about her work, with both her head and her heart, colleagues say. She takes time to mentor every person on the team while simultaneously securing major gifts for organizations such as Roosevelt University, Feeding America, The Nature Conservancy, and Caritas, among others.
She hasn’t left her passion for her alma mater behind either. She served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for three years and, according to friends and colleagues, spreads Beloit joy anywhere she goes.
The Alumni Association is pleased to present Erika Weiss Moczulewski with the Young Alumni Award in recognition of her dedication to helping others and leading a life of purposeful consequence.
