1977 Distinguished Service Citation
The excellent teaching you received during your undergraduate days on the campus has guided your successful career in higher education. You earned master’s and doctorate degrees at Radcliffe College between experiences as a banking apprentice in Stockholm and London and as an intern and instructor at Vassar and Wells colleges. A member of Cornell University’s faculty since 1966, you are senior lecturer in the Department of Consumer Economics at the College of Human Ecology – teaching introductory economics and family financial management as well as directing undergraduate advising. You also serve as a financial planning consultant to the Two Year College Development Center at State University of New York in Albany. Your participation in community life has included service as a trustee of the Village of Cayuga Heights, as a mathematics tutor and in positions with the Lutheran Church, League of Women Voters, Hospital Auxiliary and PTA. In testimony of your professional achievements and your dedication to high standards of scholarship, Beloit College is pleased to present this Citation to you.
