A member of one of the most illustrious families identified with Beloit College, you have made a name for yourself in the photographic field. You joined the staff of Eastman Kodak Company in 1935 after receiving your doctorate from Northwestern University, and have devoted your entire career to the firm. You were engaged in synthetic organic research for the first eleven years, receiving twenty patents in the field of couplers for color film. For the past two decades you have concentrated in research in photographic emulsions.
