Online Event | Required for Students

Register for one session:

  • Morning: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. CDT
  • Evening: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. CDT

Before you build your class schedule, you’ll connect with your Advanced Mentoring Program (AMP) advisor and a group of peers who share your academic interests. AMP is designed to help you feel supported and confident as you begin your academic journey at Beloit College.

What to Expect

Hour One

Advanced Mentoring Program (AMP) Group Session
You’ll meet with your Advanced Mentoring Program (AMP) advisor and a small group of new students in a relaxed, conversational setting. Together, you’ll explore Beloit College’s curriculum, talk about what makes a Beloit College education unique, and begin thinking about the kinds of courses you might want to take in your first semester.

Hour Two

Program-Specific Faculty Connections
This is your chance to meet with faculty from a variety of academic areas and programs — ask questions, hear directly from professors, and get a feel for different academic disciplines.

Students can join small group sessions hosted by:

  • Mathematics
  • Modern Languages & Literatures
  • Performing & Applied Arts (Dance, Music, and Theatre)
  • School of Business 
  • School of Environment & Sustainability
  • School of Global & Public Service
  • School of Health Sciences
  • School of Media & the Arts
