A student’s academic and financial information are protected under federal law, so Beloit College can only discuss details with the student. However, students may choose to grant access to a parent, guardian, or other trusted individual to view and discuss their academic and/or financial records with Beloit College.

In accordance with federal student privacy regulations (FERPA), Beloit College can only discuss academic and financial account information with the enrolled student.

Academic Records

If a student wishes to give a family member or other trusted individual access to their academic records, they must complete the Student Academic Records Information Release Form. Copies of this form are available in the Dean of Students Office and must be emailed to deanstu@beloit.edu, or returned to the Dean of Students Office (on the second floor of Pearsons Hall) to become effective.

Please note: Emailed forms must be sent from the student’s beloit.edu email account.

You may nullify this authorization, but it must be in writing and turned in to the Dean of Students Office.

Financial Records

If a student wishes to give a family member or other trusted individual access to their financial records, they must complete the Student Financial Records Information Release Form.

Completed forms can be submitted to the Financial Aid Office in person (Pearsons Hall, second floor) or by securely uploading your completed form.
