Spotlight on Hitali Kothari ’26, Concierge Intern with Belen Partners
Meet Hitali Kothari, a Concierge Intern and senior at Beloit College from Ichalkaranji, India, majoring in quantitative economics and minoring in finance and math.
Hitali Kothari interns with Belen Partners, a private equity search fund based in Chicago. She is developing career-readiness skills specific to her areas of academic study such as sourcing, outreach, and research. Specific examples include building company lists, writing outreach drafts, market research in the fields of healthcare and regulated services, and working with other staff in the early-stage review of deals.
Hitali learned to modify her writing to match the firm’s style, as well as increasing her understanding of the industry by reading company signals, and considering what makes a good buyer. Her coursework in economics and finance have helped her read data, think about markets, and understand costs and returns. Her math and data courses have assisted in research and Excel work.
Hitali works with a mentor who provides clear feedback and boosts her confidence for future roles in finance. “She provides honest advice and teaches things beyond the classroom,” Hitali says about her supervisor Adilene Dominguez ’12.
